  The 43rd Annual

Ambridge Nationality

 Days Festival presented

 by National City Bank

May 16-17-18, 2008

http://www.ambridgenationalitydays.com/Home_Page.html

For the past 43 years, the Ambridge Area Chamber of Commerce has been hosting the Nationality Days Festival, an annual heritage

festival that celebrates the region's ethnic pride.

The three-day extravaganza takes place the third weekend in May (this year May 16-17-18, 2008). Over 100 vendors line the heart of the

 business district to

welcome the 40,000 tourists and locals who attend the event each year. The tantalizing aroma of food fills the air as delicacies

 representing over

fifteen cultures are served from 35 food booths. Crafts are here, too - you can shop at approximately 50 crafts booths.

Springs Folk Festival

October 3-4, 2008

The Springs Folk Festival invites you to join in the celebration of the arts, skills and labors of our forefathers. Watch the women baking bread and

weaving, the men hewing logs and threshing grain and the children enjoying themselves on an old-time hayride. The lilting notes of blue grass groups,

gospel music and children singing a capella fill the air with continuous performances in an enclosed program building. Of course, the Mountain

Anthems singing close harmony is always a thrill.
